You have a few more weeks until Halloween, which is enough time to put the final touches on everyone’s Halloween costumes. If you and your family really want to go all out this year, consider a family Halloween costume. Here are some great ideas that are sure to win the next costume contest.
- Space Family. With this theme, you could combine astronauts and aliens. Anything silver is a good choice.
- One parent can dress as a zookeeper while everyone else can choose their favorite animal costume.
- Despicable Me. Have Dad dress as Gru, Mom can be Lucy Wilde, and the kids can all be cute yellow Minions.
- Football team. Parents can dress as referees, while the little ones can pack on the pads and helmets. If you have a newborn, dress the baby as the football.
- For a touch of scary for your family costume, try some creepy costumes from this classic movie.
- Lord of the Rings. Create your own fellowship with your favorite characters from this iconic book and movie series.
- Toy Story. Let your kids choose their favorite characters from the Toy Story movies and Mom and Dad can fill in the gaps.

Live in or near the St. Cloud area in Minnesota? Every year, the Rotary Club at St. George takes advantage of the summer heat to hold the annual Summertime by George Festival on the shores of the newly-renovated Lake George. The festival began in June, but runs for 12 weeks every Wednesday until August 26th. The event opens to the public at 5pm; the music begins at 6 and lasts until 9.
Admission to Summertime by George is entirely free to the public. Other activities at the festival include the Middle Town Market, providing access to a diverse variety of local vendors and food. The Eastman Tavern is nearby and serves craft beers, wine, and snacks, and the little ones can play to their hearts’ content in Little Georgetown. There’s also a trolley that runs through the area every 10 minutes Wednesday evenings, which makes parking much easier.
The Summertime by George Festival celebrates fun, live musical performances as well as local artisans and culture, nearby eateries, and area breweries. Whether you’re getting a drink with friends or looking for an evening with your family, Lake George has an all-summer-long event to keep you entertained. Stop in and tell us all about it at Don Robinson Mitsubishi.
Don Robinson pledged to donate $1 for every new page like to our Facebook page to the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, MN. From July 15th to August 19th, we ran our campaign to raise money, and with the help of the Humane Society we were able to reach a lot of new fans! After five weeks, we raised a total of $806 for the Humane Society!
This campaign was created because Don Robinson is a big dog-lover and wanted to give back to those who help take care of animals. Spurred by this and his desire to help out man’s best friend, he sought out our local Humane Society to find a way to give back. Thus our Like Campaign was formed as well as a lasting friendship with the people at our local shelter.
Don commented on this campaign saying, “I am very fortunate to have found a place here in St. Cloud that makes the difference that the Tri-County Humane Society does. When I first walked into the humane society, it was very clear to me the difference that these people make and the happiness they bring not only to families, but to the animals they care for as well.”
Because of the success of this campaign and the bond formed with the Humane Society, Don Robinson Mitsubishi wants to continue to help by finding great homes for the animals they care for. Because of this, we will be featuring a “cutie of the week” every Friday on our Facebook page for our existing and new fans! We hope this will continue to benefit the Humane Society and we are proud to continue to support our local shelter in this fun and rewarding way! Be sure to stop by our Facebook page every week to see which “Cutie” we will be featuring!
Everyone loves going to drive-in movie theaters, especially as the weather starts to get warmer. That’s why we’ve put together a list of drive-in theater tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
Assuming you have a Mitsubishi, you’ll have plenty of space to stretch out and relax to enjoy the movie. Just in case you want to get outside, though, an important thing to remember are lawn chairs. According to Drive-Ins.com, most people find that lawn chairs are a great way to enjoy the movie.
Also, choosing the right double-feature is important. If you’re going with the whole family, make sure to choose two movies that the kids will be able to sit through. If you’re going with friends, make sure to consider everyone in the group. Most theaters offer a vast array of options to choose from throughout the season.
Though most drive-ins will remind you, make sure to charge your battery by turning on your car every once in a while. Nothing ruins an evening faster than having to call a tow truck because your battery is dead.
Last but not least, mosquito repellant is a must. As temperatures increase, so do the bugs, especially on humid days. Make sure to bring plenty of insect repellant to keep those annoying bugs at bay. Be sure to tell us about your Drive-In experience at Don Robinson Mitsubishi!
We here at Don Robinson Mitsubishi took part in the Central Minnesota New Car Show at the beginning of the month and loved every minute of it! Nine dealerships throughout the St. Cloud area were involved with the car show and we were fortunate to be one of them!
We had over 15 brand new Mitsubishis on display and were excited to show them off to guests and potential customers. Not only were vehicles on display at the car show, guests had the opportunity to take part in activities that included getting pictures with the Easter Bunny (what kid wouldn’t love that), testing out the new XBOX 360 racing game – Dirt 3, and driving remote controlled cars.
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with guests and having the opportunity to discuss our dealership and cars with them. The all-new Mitsubishi lineup is filled with top-notch safety and technology features that will appeal to everyone! For more information about this year’s Central Minnesota New Car Show or the 2015 Mitsubishi lineup, come visit us at Don Robinson Mitsubishi today!
If you are like most – your pets are an integral part of the family, and therefore accompany you on many car rides! In honor of February’s Responsible Pet Owners’ Month, here are a few doggie travel tips.
Whether running out to the store or going on an extended trip, make sure that you take your dog’s collar, ID tag, leash and water/bowl. If you haven’t already done so, the Humane Society recommends having your dog micro chipped in case of separation. This can be done at your local veterinarians office.
Safety first! It turns out Sir Isaac Newton was right about those laws of motion! Just as you wouldn’t travel without a seat belt, make sure your pet is safely contained in the back seat in either a crash approved crate or a belted safety harness while traveling. This also helps in decreasing driver distraction.
When traveling long distances, remember to stop frequently. Cesar Milan recommends taking breaks every 2-3 hours so your canine companion can stretch his legs, do his business, and grab a quick drink.
Whether traveling near or far with your furry friends, we at Don Robinson Mitsubishi wish all of our readers and their canine companions a safe and happy Responsible Pet Owners’ Month.
