Tips for Preparing Your Car for Summer Driving
It’s finally summer, which means the season of road trips and vacations is upon us. Here are some tips on how to prepare your car for summer driving.
Check the tire pressure
Your vehicle’s tire pressure has probably fluctuated over the winter. Be sure to check the pressure before you set off on your next summer road trip and inflate them as necessary to meet the recommended PSI. Inspect all four tires to check their tread and see if it’s time for new tires.
Inspect the wiper blades
The windshield wiper blades may need to be replaced if they’ve deteriorated over time. If the wipers streak across the windshield or fail to clean it thoroughly, it’s time to replace the blades.
Check the fluids
Top off your vehicle’s engine oil, coolant, brake, transmission, and power steering fluids to ensure they’re at the correct levels before your next vacation. You can easily bring your car to Don Robinson Mitsubishi to change the oil and replace other fluids if you’re not sure how to do so.
Check the alignment and suspension
Prepare your vehicle for summer travel and have the alignment and suspension checked. Our team can take care of any additional maintenance your car may need.
Clean the interior and exterior
Take your vehicle through a car wash and dedicate an afternoon to clean out the interior. Vacuum the cabin and make sure your car is refreshed and ready for all of your summer adventures!
Summer car maintenance is just as important as other seasonal service. If you need to make an appointment for your vehicle, contact our team here at Don Robinson Mitsubishi in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
