We’re halfway through summer already here in Minnesota, but you can still have one last summertime getaway with your family in August before the warm season ends. And what better way to enjoy the Land of 10,000 Lakes than with a fully accessorized Mitsubishi. Here are some Mitsubishi accessories we recommend using during the summer in St. Cloud.
Keep the heat off your passengers and out of their eyes with a roll-up sunshade for your Mitsubishi Outlander. It attaches to the doors to cover the windows without blocking the driver’s view.
The trunk of your Mirage or Eclipse Cross can get messy if you spend a lot of time traveling during the summer. A cargo management system can maximize your storage space on your next road trip.
Don’t let your road trip wind up in disaster. Be prepared for a possible breakdown and have a roadside assistance kit for your Mitsubishi. This includes jumper cables, tools, reflective gear, and a handy storage case.
Bring a kayak or camping equipment along with crossbars atop your Mitsubishi Outlander. This frees up lots of space inside for your passengers to stretch out while their gear is anchored to the roof.
If you want to order accessories for your Mitsubishi car or SUV, contact the Don Robinson Mitsubishi parts department. We can order official OEM parts directly from Mitsubishi.
Now that Minnesota has warmed up, it’s time for a summer road trip! You’ll find many great destinations outside the Gopher State, so you can plan some weekend trips from St. Cloud in your new Mitsubishi from Don Robinson Mitsubishi. Here are the most popular locations to visit.
Sioux Falls, SD
A four-hour drive southwest of St. Cloud will take you to Sioux Falls. This gorgeous city in South Dakota is known for natural attractions like the Big Sioux River falls as well as historic sites like Good Earth State Park and the Queen Bee Mill ruins.
Green Bay, WI
Five hours in your Mitsubishi Outlander will bring you to Lake Michigan, where you’ll find Green Bay, Wisconsin. This town is obviously a sports fans’ dream, but in the summer when the football team isn’t playing, you can still have fun at the National Railroad Museum or Neville Public Museum.
There’s no shortage of unique things to do over a weekend in the Windy City. During the summer, you can stroll around Navy Pier, take a boat cruise on the lake, and attend a festival at Millennium Park.
Before you drive your Outlander Sport or Eclipse Cross a long distance this summer, make sure you bring it to Don Robinson Mitsubishi for a service checkup. Our mechanics will make sure it’s ready for your next road trip.
For the past 15 years, the online magazine has recognized the vehicle that it deems to be the year’s best based on qualities like driveline, driving dynamics, design, comfort, technology, safety, efficiency, and value. By scoring every contender on these categories and bestowing a numerical grade, the judges can identify the vehicle that tics the most boxes. Public interest through social media engagement and editorial interest are also factored in.
This year was the first time that the Mitsubishi Outlander won the honor of being “Vehicle of the Year,” which says a lot about the quality and extent of the SUV’s 2022 redesign. The publication’s editor-in-chief Randy Stern explained that they recognized the Outlander for its high-quality interior, bold exterior design, and a solid driveline, making it a standout on the market.
As automotive website Victory & Reseda is based in Minnesota near the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, you can trust that the publication knows the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander would be a dependable, fitting SUV for families like yours who live in Minnesota.

Live in or near the St. Cloud area in Minnesota? Every year, the Rotary Club at St. George takes advantage of the summer heat to hold the annual Summertime by George Festival on the shores of the newly-renovated Lake George. The festival began in June, but runs for 12 weeks every Wednesday until August 26th. The event opens to the public at 5pm; the music begins at 6 and lasts until 9.
Admission to Summertime by George is entirely free to the public. Other activities at the festival include the Middle Town Market, providing access to a diverse variety of local vendors and food. The Eastman Tavern is nearby and serves craft beers, wine, and snacks, and the little ones can play to their hearts’ content in Little Georgetown. There’s also a trolley that runs through the area every 10 minutes Wednesday evenings, which makes parking much easier.
The Summertime by George Festival celebrates fun, live musical performances as well as local artisans and culture, nearby eateries, and area breweries. Whether you’re getting a drink with friends or looking for an evening with your family, Lake George has an all-summer-long event to keep you entertained. Don Robinson pledged to donate $1 for every new page like to our Facebook page to the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, MN. From July 15th to August 19th, we ran our campaign to raise money, and with the help of the Humane Society we were able to reach a lot of new fans! After five weeks, we raised a total of $806 for the Humane Society!
This campaign was created because Don Robinson is a big dog-lover and wanted to give back to those who help take care of animals. Spurred by this and his desire to help out man’s best friend, he sought out our local Humane Society to find a way to give back. Thus our Like Campaign was formed as well as a lasting friendship with the people at our local shelter.
Don commented on this campaign saying, “I am very fortunate to have found a place here in St. Cloud that makes the difference that the Tri-County Humane Society does. When I first walked into the humane society, it was very clear to me the difference that these people make and the happiness they bring not only to families, but to the animals they care for as well.”
Because of the success of this campaign and the bond formed with the Humane Society, Don Robinson Mitsubishi wants to continue to help by finding great homes for the animals they care for. Because of this, we will be featuring a “cutie of the week” every Friday on our Facebook page for our existing and new fans! We hope this will continue to benefit the Humane Society and we are proud to continue to support our local shelter in this fun and rewarding way! Be sure to stop by our Facebook page every week to see which “Cutie” we will be featuring!
Everyone loves going to drive-in movie theaters, especially as the weather starts to get warmer. That’s why we’ve put together a list of drive-in theater tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
Assuming you have a Mitsubishi, you’ll have plenty of space to stretch out and relax to enjoy the movie. Just in case you want to get outside, though, an important thing to remember are lawn chairs. According to Drive-Ins.com, most people find that lawn chairs are a great way to enjoy the movie.
Also, choosing the right double-feature is important. If you’re going with the whole family, make sure to choose two movies that the kids will be able to sit through. If you’re going with friends, make sure to consider everyone in the group. Most theaters offer a vast array of options to choose from throughout the season.
Though most drive-ins will remind you, make sure to charge your battery by turning on your car every once in a while. Nothing ruins an evening faster than having to call a tow truck because your battery is dead.
Last but not least, mosquito repellant is a must. As temperatures increase, so do the bugs, especially on humid days. Make sure to bring plenty of insect repellant to keep those annoying bugs at bay. Be sure to tell us about your Drive-In experience at Don Robinson Mitsubishi!
We here at Don Robinson Mitsubishi took part in the Central Minnesota New Car Show at the beginning of the month and loved every minute of it! Nine dealerships throughout the St. Cloud area were involved with the car show and we were fortunate to be one of them!
We had over 15 brand new Mitsubishis on display and were excited to show them off to guests and potential customers. Not only were vehicles on display at the car show, guests had the opportunity to take part in activities that included getting pictures with the Easter Bunny (what kid wouldn’t love that), testing out the new XBOX 360 racing game – Dirt 3, and driving remote controlled cars.
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with guests and having the opportunity to discuss our dealership and cars with them. The all-new Mitsubishi lineup is filled with top-notch safety and technology features that will appeal to everyone! For more information about this year’s Central Minnesota New Car Show or the 2015 Mitsubishi lineup, come visit us at Don Robinson Mitsubishi today!
If you are like most – your pets are an integral part of the family, and therefore accompany you on many car rides! In honor of February’s Responsible Pet Owners’ Month, here are a few doggie travel tips.
Whether running out to the store or going on an extended trip, make sure that you take your dog’s collar, ID tag, leash and water/bowl. If you haven’t already done so, the Humane Society recommends having your dog micro chipped in case of separation. This can be done at your local veterinarians office.
Safety first! It turns out Sir Isaac Newton was right about those laws of motion! Just as you wouldn’t travel without a seat belt, make sure your pet is safely contained in the back seat in either a crash approved crate or a belted safety harness while traveling. This also helps in decreasing driver distraction.
When traveling long distances, remember to stop frequently. Cesar Milan recommends taking breaks every 2-3 hours so your canine companion can stretch his legs, do his business, and grab a quick drink.
Whether traveling near or far with your furry friends, we at Don Robinson Mitsubishi wish all of our readers and their canine companions a safe and happy Responsible Pet Owners’ Month.
