Here’s a complete rundown of what to expect.
Powertrain and performance
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander will run off the power of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine complete with improved S-AWC, or Super All-Wheel Control. No matter your driving conditions, you can optimize traction through five different driving modes for 2WD models and six for S-AWC models.
A wider stance, a muscular design, and a new Dynamic Shield front make the newest Outlander more athletic than ever before. Available 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels, a power panoramic sunroof, and LED front fog lights complement the sleek new design.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander can seat up to seven and is the segment’s only model with a third row. 3-Zone Climate Control keeps everyone comfortable in their ideal temperature. The eight-way power front-row seats have a key-linked memory function that always keeps your seats how you want them.
Wireless compatibility with both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ enable you to sync your smartphone to the 2022 Outlander’s 9-inch infotainment display. Available wireless charging further reduces the clutter of wires.

Sneak Peek of 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander | St. Cloud, MN
A new teaser for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has hit the web. Although the image doesn’t reveal too many details about the new 5-passenger compact SUV, it does reveal enough to raise our collective excitement over what promises to be a technologically advanced, comfortable, and safe family vehicle.
A new Dynamic Shield concept gives the exterior design a more robust look. The primary headlights are repositioned to rest directly below the turn signal lamps. Its style is further enhanced thanks to an hourglass-shaped front fascia and a biplane grille. Altogether, these exterior developments give the 2022 Outlander an appearance more akin to trucks than compact SUVs.
Size increases and technology improvements are also expected for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. The vehicle will run off the power of a brand-new engine, replacing the 2021 Outlander’s 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter MIVEC, the latter of which generates a whopping 168 horsepower.
Rumors are swirling that this new SUV will sport a Nissan engine. Likewise, Nissan is rumored to be incorporating Mitsubishi’s PHEV system into one of its new vehicles. However, none of this has yet been confirmed.
A livestream in February of 2021 will provide the platform for the official debut of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. Like you, we here at Don Robinson Mitsubishi can’t wait to find out more about this exciting new SUV!
