A short shot westbound on I-94 brings you to Andes Tower Hills in Kensington, which features 15 different downhill runs for skiers of all skill levels. For those just starting out, Andes Tower Hills has an ample Terrain Park for practice as well as available instruction.

Powder Ridge

St. Cloud’s favorite and most accessible ski resort is Powder Ridge, which sits under half an hour outside of the city. Popular for its affordable admission — including events like Two for Tuesdays and Wild Wednesday — Powder Ridge is a beloved destination for first dates, outings with friends, or just breaking away for a good time after a busy week at work. If you’ve never been to one of the resort’s Lazer Light Tubing nights, you’re missing out.

Como Park Ski Center

The Como Park Ski Center in St. Paul offers 15 skiable, beautifully maintained acres of terrain perfect for all ages and experiences. The center is a great place to take your young ones if you want them to learn the ropes, offering affordable lessons for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. Better still, it’s close to Lake Como and the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, so it’s a great place for a full family outing.
