Buying a certified pre-owned vehicle here in St. Cloud, Minnesota, should connect you with a reliable vehicle at a low price — at least, that’s what Vincentric believes. That’s why the organization publishes its annual Best Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Value in America Awards.
For the past nine years, the organization has assessed the average cost of ownership for CPO vehicles in the U.S. based on actual customer ownership and statistical calculations. By looking at costs like depreciation, taxes, loan financing, maintenance, insurance, and repairs, the number-crunching judges were able to identify the models in all major automotive classes that had the lowest average cost of ownership.
The model that offered the best value in the subcompact car category was the Mitsubishi Mirage G4. As Vincentric President David Wurster explained, “The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 outperformed seven other subcompact competitors to earn Lowest Cost of Ownership in its class.” The organization also noted the model’s efficient fuel economy, thanks to its 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine.
A new Mirage G4 is already priced quite low, with a starting MSRP below $16,000, so you can imagine how affordable a CPO Mirage G4 could be that already has a few years of prior ownership under its belt.

On the heels of Ford’s first-ever mobile Escape the Room game in the 2017 Ford Escape, Mitsubishi too is trying to hook young drivers through innovative test driving programs. Mitsubishi has launched “Night Drive,” a campaign that invites drivers to virtually test drive the new Mirage G4.
The website turns the user’s smartphone into a steering wheel and lets gives them feel like they’re driving the car from home. Mitsubishi says their target audience with the affordable, feature-packed Mirage G4 is young buyers, who are more environmentally conscious when it comes to fuel use and want smaller cars they can easily drive in cities.
The Mitsubishi Night Drive campaign asks testers to use both their smartphone and laptop to test specific features in the Mitsubishi Mirage G4. Tapping the gas pedal button on your smartphone starts a demonstration of the Hill Start Assist feature that helps the car move up a steep incline.
Mitsubishi says this program is a “new marketing launch for us” and that this could be a smart alternative to trying to get buyers to the dealership for initial test driving. This way, buyers can experience the car from their homes and get an idea of what they want, making them more likely to come to the dealership.
